With his roots in Irish and American folk music and years of study in both Senegal and India, national Hammered Dulcimer champion Max ZT is an innovator of the instrument. Lauded as the “Jimi Hendrix of Hammered Dulcimer” by NPR, Max is also a member of the popular trio House of Waters. During the pandemic, Max turned to creating an album highlighting the simple and healing beauty of the instrument. “In It” is the embodiment of this feeling and the first piece written for his debut solo album, Daybreak.
